An elderly woman who drifted away from the outside world after her father died almost dying from the cold until she was rescued by volunteers.
70-year-old Sandra Burton lives in Royston, Cambridge lives without water and electricity in a house with scattered rubbish.

Sandra suffers from depression and becomes socially isolated after losing her father who is the only family she has.
About three years ago the toilet leaked but he was too embarrassed to ask people to fix it or let someone visit because his house is very messy.

Electricity at home is also problematic. For two years Sandra lived without water, heating or even a decent electric light for her.
The social worker comes to check on his house, but he will always drive them out of embarrassment with his home.

After Sandra held a routine meeting with general practitioner Diane Walters at Granta medical surgery, it was noticed that something was wrong with Sandra.
Diane said that she knew Sandra for about three years and met her for a routine meeting.
