Not a few people want to lose their weight. The most common way to do this is with a strict diet and exercise. But not many know, that in fact watching a horror movie can also help burn fat and reduce your weight.

A study from the University of Westminster states that a surge in heart rate when someone watches a horror movie can help burn calories.

The scientists who conducted the study revealed that watching a horror movie for 90 minutes can help burn calories up to 113 calories. The amount is the same as you walk for 30 minutes. Horror films also trigger an increase in heart rate that affects body weight.

"When the pulse is faster when watching a horror movie, blood will also be pumped faster throughout the body. This happens when the body experiences a surge of adrenaline," says metabolic spinal, MacKenzie.

In this study they measured the number of calories lost from several film titles watched by correspondents. They then measured heart rate, oxygen intake and carbon dioxide outflow from the response.

From the study recorded The Shining film will burn 184 calories, Jaws burns 161 calories, and The Exorcist 158 calories. The row of films can produce a high adrenaline boost and burn calories. If you feel that these three films are too terrible, you can choose other horror films with scenes that aren't too scary.
