A decades-old marriage varies in Sinjai, South Sulawesi province, Indonesia. A 75-year-old grandfather marries an 18-year-old girl. The grandfather proposed to this girl with a Rp. 25 million dowry and a clove garden.
This marriage took place in Coddong Hamlet, Bontokatute Village, Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The couple is known as Daeng Saing and a woman named Tika.
"I just knew I wanted to get married when a man arrived. He gave me a ride (dowry) of Rp. 25 million and a clove garden," said the female family, Asih while talking to AFP on Thursday (1/31/2019).
Asih said Saing was none other than the neighbor of the house from Tika. Tika lived with her aunt in Bontokatute Village since she was little. While his mother, was in Southeast Sulawesi (Southeast Sulawesi).
"I have asked his aunt if he knows he wants to apply. Said his aunt he said he already knew. Well, maybe it was arranged because I did not speak directly to Tika," he said
He said during the wedding process Wednesday (1/30) yesterday, Tika was silent. Even so, the woman who did not finish high school still greeted one by one of the guests present.
"He is still married and calm down calm down. Not crying too," he said.

According to Sinjai Ministry of Religion Public Relations, Fatma, the second marriage was not recorded at the local religious affairs office (KUA) so that it was considered illegal by the state.
"Legitimate according to religion if there are witnesses, but it is not recognized by the state because marriage is under the hand and does not have a marriage book," he explained.
