VILLAGE with a beautiful
view and has road access for cars is customary. But what if the village doesn't
have road access for four wheels? Not making it up, this village can be found
in Balapulang District.
Namely Sangkanjaya Village,
which is located beside the Gung river, has only one access road in and out of
the village and can only be passed by two-wheeled vehicles or motorbikes.
To be able to go to
Sangkanjaya Village, Balapulang District, Tegal Regency, Central Java Province,
Indonesia. have to cross a 150 meter long plank suspension bridge that spans
the river Gung. The bridge is the only way to Sangkanjaya Village.
Arriving at Sangkanjaya
Village, you can see many nice lined houses, but none of them has a car garage.
What you can see is a motorcycle storage area. The access road to the paved
village is slightly up.
"Sangkanjaya Village
only has approximately 300 houses and 325 families and only 1 RW and 3 RT. The
majority of residents here migrate and farm. The houses here do not have a
place or car garage space. In other villages, many of the houses have car
garages, ”said Secretary of Sangkanjaya Village Abdul Mubarok at the
panturapost, Wednesday (19/8/2020).
According to him, in Sangkanjaya Village there
is only one access route in and out of the village, namely the route via a
suspension bridge between the connections of Danawarih and Sangkanjaya
Villages. The suspension bridge access can only be accessed by two-wheeled
vehicles or motorbikes.
So, whatever the activities of the residents of Sangkanjaya Village, if you want to go out, you have to ride a motorbike. However, that does not mean that none of the villagers have four-wheeled vehicles or cars. Some have a car, but the car cannot be parked in front of the house but in a neighboring village.
“The residents who own the car park them at the houses of the Danawarih villagers. Because the road or road access to Sangkanjaya Village cannot be passed by car. The parking fee in one month is Rp. 500 thousand, "he said.
“Most of
those who have four-wheeled vehicles or cars have migrated outside the region.
When returning to the village, the car is parked at the residents' houses or
neighboring villages and on to Sangkanjaya village by motorcycle, ”he added.
Mubarok said that the car that had entered Sangkanjaya Village only once. At that time there was a TMMD construction from Danareja Village towards Sangkajaya Village. However, the road is now completely impassable by vehicles. And until now there have been no more cars entering the village.
The absence of road access for four-wheeled vehicles makes it difficult for residents to build houses. The equipment and raw materials can only reach the suspension bridge. And from the suspension bridge to the village it is transported by motorbike.
Meanwhile, H. Abulrohim (56), a native of Sangkanjaya Village, said that long ago, when he was about to go to elementary school in Danawarih Village, he covered the river with bamboo. But after there was a suspension bridge in the 1990s, residents could use two-wheeled activities.
"So if you see there are motorbikes on the suspension bridge that have been modified, such as carrying lots of rice, cabinets, cement or other things, it is not strange anymore. Because, whatever items people buy, they must be carried by motorbikes. Not by car, "he said. (*)
