Unique! There are dozens of twins in this village in Klaten

                                                  (Photo: Achmad Syauqi / detikcom)

Klaten -Jonggrangan Village, Klaten Utara District, Klaten Regency, Central Java, is unique. How not, dozens of residents are twins.

"There are identical twins there are dampit (male). The last number is about 15 pairs or 30 people, that's currently still alive," said Head of Jonggrangan Village, Sunarno, when met by detik.com at his home, Sunday (21/2/2021 ).

Jonggrangan village is to the northeast of the city center of Klaten, located on the edge of the Yogya-Solo road. Jonggrangan Village has 7 RW and 22 RT with a population of around 4,300 inhabitants.

Sunarno continued that the largest number of twins in his village was in Jonggrangan Hamlet. Even in the alley in front of his house there were about four couples.

"In the alley of my house to the east, there are seven or eight twins. My own younger siblings are twins, my nephews are also identical twins," said Sunarno.

Sunarno admitted that no one knew when in his village there were twins. In the community there are also no stories from the village elders about the causes of twins.

"There is no story about what caused it and when it started. If I suspect yes, maybe since the grandmother used to have twins, I think this is due to genetic causes," he explained.

Although the history is not clear, according to Sunarno, his village has been known as a village of twins for a long time. Around the end of the 1990s to 2000, his village began to attract public attention.

Sunarno added that the twins in his village live normally, are healthy, and grow to adulthood. The trouble is that sometimes there are mistakes in greeting because of the similarity of his face.

"Yes, sometimes it's wrong, but if you memorize it, don't bother. Like my brother, the difference is that there are scars on the hands. The twins are all healthy, some are still young," added Sunarno.

So far, the government has never investigated the existence of twins in Jonggrangan Village. However, population data collection is routinely carried out.

"If there is no research, we also do not report it even though it is funny. If there is data collection on residents, for example children at the posyandu," added Sunarno.

One of the twin residents of Jonggrangan Village, Kris Joko Raharjo (40), said that he had many funny stories to experience as twins. People sometimes call or ask the wrong address.

"Often people get it wrong, sometimes a driver who wants to fill up petrol meets and asks what picket I am on, even though the person who works at the gas station is Kris Joko Santoso," said Kris Joko when met by detikcom.

"For those who have been hanging out often, they are not confused but those who have just met once might be wrong. Their names are only different from Kris Joko Raharjo and Kris Joko Santoso," Kris continued.

One mother who owns twins, Basuki (67), said there was no difference in terms of conceiving her twins. It's just that the size of the womb is bigger than an ordinary pregnancy.

"Only the stomach is big. So if people look sometimes pity and it must be twins," said Basuki when met at his home.

Another resident, Tugino (69), has twin grandchildren, namely Ikhsan (5) and Akhsan (5). The two are identical twins even though there are no twins in their family.

"I have three children and several grandchildren. Only these two grandchildren are twins even though my family also does not have twins," explained Tugino at his home.

According to him, caring for twins is not the same as ordinary children. Because in all things must be given the same.

"Same school, same clothes, same toys, basically all the same. Toys are the same, but if they are mixed together they can strangely differentiate themselves," added Tugino.

Separately, the Head of Public Health at the Klaten Regency Government Health Service, Tuti Nur Haryanti, said that the agency had never recorded or researched the phenomenon of twins in Jonggrangan Village. According to him, most likely the number of twins in Jonggrangan Village is due to heredity.

"We have never recorded or researched, but the data is usually at the Puskesmas. But usually the twins are due to previous heredity or marriage," said Tuti when asked for confirmation by detikcom.

Unique, Fingered Boar Is in Banyumas, Likes to Eat Rice and Coffee

                                                     (Photo: iNews / Saladin Ayyubi)

BANYUMAS, iNews.id - A wild boar with a leg shape and a strange habit was found in Banyumas, Central Java (Central Java). Now the boar is locked up in the yard of one of the residents and is a spectacle for many people.

The residents of Jatilawang, Banyumas were made excited by the wild boar belonging to Bawor, a resident of Rt 8 Rw 3 Pakuncen Village, a local sub-district. How not, the four legs of this black haired animal have four long fingers.

Not only that, the wild boar also wants to eat foods commonly eaten by humans such as rice, tea, coffee and even cigarettes. Due to the abnormality in its legs, this huta pig walks unsteadily.

Every day, Bawor's home page is crowded with visitors who are curious about the wild boar. Next to the stable, a charity box is provided which visitors can fill in for the costs of caring for wild boars.

Bawor admitted that he had raised the wild boar for three months. Initially, his wife dreamed that a small child came to ask to be looked after. Furthermore, Bawor was contacted by someone who said that in Karangnining Forest, Pangandaran there were strange pigs.

"My friend did not dare to arrest him. I went there and arrested him," he said, Sunday (15/6/2020).

He admitted that when he was about to be arrested, the wild boar was called 'Abah' and, oddly enough, immediately responded by standing up. Before being arrested, Bawor invited the wild boar to talk.

He said, if the boar wanted to follow him, it had to obey. Initially the boar was running around reluctant to be held, but finally obeyed.

"I held the tail, I lifted it slowly and quietly," he said.

On the way to the house, Bawor had a chance to meet the police who were curious about this unique wild boar. The policeman even took a photo of the pig.

According to Bawor, who has been hunting for 10 years, the wild boar usually weighs 80 kilograms and only has fangs. "But he weighs 12 kilograms but already has fangs," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Jatilawang sub-district, Oka Yudhistira Pranayuda, appealed to residents not to crowd even though they were curious about the wild boar. According to him, this animal is an ordinary wild boar. Oka even asked the owner to put his pet in a closed cage.

"We are worried that this crowd of residents will worsen the Covid-19 pandemic. I am sure that this is an ordinary pig, not a stealth or an imitation," he said.
