SUKOHARJO, KOMPAS.com - Modification is indeed something that is often done by automotive lovers. Both minor modifications such as adding or replacing aftermarket accessories, to the extreme by changing their shape.
As was done by Arjo Purwanto, a resident of Jati Kidul, Bugel, Polokarto District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, who changed the 1990 Mitsubishi Galant Eterna into a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.
"I just learned to be self-taught, see from Youtube and want to make something like that, just reckless capital," said Arjo to kompas.com, Friday (2/4/2021).
Work on this modification has been carried out since January 2021. Initially the Lamborghini replica was done with his son, but because his son got a job call, Arjo did it himself.
"The beginning of this vehicle, Mitusbishi Galant Eterna, I still use the legs and the engine. I did it myself, everything was manual by hand," said Arjo.
It has been three months of work, this project has been completed 40 percent. The body has been formed, while the interior is still waiting for the construction process.
The work of the car body is made using an iron plate which is shaped to resemble the original Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. As for the lamp section, Arjo plans to make his own stand and make the lamp part using acrylic material.
For this extreme modification, the man who daily works as a pick-up car broker and this workshop admitted that he had spent 35 million rupiah. The project plans to build will be completed in the next four or five months.
At the time of the creation, Arjo admitted that he had difficulty, because basically everything he did was watching videos from Youtube and learned it by himself.
Initially Arjo told his son to find Lamborghini dimensions and models on the internet. As a benchmark, Lamborghini miniatures are also purchased so that the desired shape matches the original.
"In the future, if it is ready and someone is interested in buying it, please, if you want to make it, I can too. But see how it will turn out, the feasibility will be like what will be done first," said Arjo.
