Massacre in Sorong Regency (Doc of West Papua Regional Police)
There were massacres of
292 crocodiles in Sorong Regency, West Papua, Indonesia. The massacre happened
because there was a citizen who was killed eaten by a crocodile.
The incident occurred in
a crocodile breeding owned by PT Mitra Lestari Abadi, Jalan Bandara, Klamalu
Village, Mariat District, on Saturday (07/14/2018) at 10:30 WIB yesterday.
"This spontaneous
action is a form of public anger due to the death of victims eaten by
crocodiles on Friday (07/13/2018) at 3.30 WIB," said Head of West Papua
Police Public Relations, AKBP Hary Supriyono, told AFP on Sunday (07/15/2018) )
The dead person was
named Sugito, a resident of Jalan N Stia Unamin RT 04 RW 01 Klamalu Village,
Sorong Regency. He was killed by crocodiles while looking for grass around the
crocodile pond.

"The arrest and
murder of all PT Mitra Lestari Abadi crocodiles was carried out right after the
funeral of the late Sugito," Hary said.
